Tesla Cybertruck Hit with More Issues, Fourth Recall Announced
Tesla is recalling a majority of its Cybertrucks in the US due to problems with windshield wipers and exterior trim. This is the fourth recall for the 2024 model year, casting a shadow over the truck's planned mass production launch.
Wiper Woes: Over 11,000 Cybertrucks are affected by a malfunctioning windshield wiper motor controller. This could cause wipers to fail in wet weather, increasing crash risk. Tesla will replace the faulty motors.
Trim Trouble: Another 11,000+ trucks have a potential issue with the trunk bed trim applique, which might detach and become a road hazard. Tesla will fix or replace the trim with improved adhesive.
These setbacks delay the highly anticipated mass production of the Cybertruck, originally expected for next year. Tesla has yet to reveal official delivery numbers.
